Here are some thoughts around moderators.

shard worlds vs open worlds.

shard worlds: imvu,habbo hotel
Shard worlds allow users to have areas of their own where they control who enters and what goes on..sorta like having your own country. That way you don't need moderators because if you dont like what a visitor is doing, your own community(your friends) ejects them and in most cases your friends are similiar to you and don't mind.

open worlds:world of warcraft,gaia,maplestory
Open worlds is where everyone shares a common area and moderators are needed because you have a lot of different people with different likes, dislikes and morals. your restricted but there is much more people around so perhaps the world feels more lively.

Shard worlds with AI/smart npcs
These worlds are like a shard world except the world is filled out with artificial intelligences. Think Bob in vSide but with a brain...and who talks to you, gives you quests or bounces for your own bar. This allows you to have the freedom of moderatoring your own area but without the empty feeling of some sharded products like Habbo.

I think shard would be good for your own apartments or clubs or what ever you own, so like yo be the moderator of your own place.

Open would be for like i guess "public places" for example the lounge in NV

and i am not completely sure how shard worlds with Al/smart npcs work out but i get an idea.
Maybe we could have them for the stores and stuff like that and other public areas

Well in realifeplus i theres gonna be open areas like clubs and stuff i presume and our own places like our apt. i say that for the places we control for e.g. our apartments then shards are gonna be best. open areas like parks and places where alot of users tend to clog up should be moderated for safety reasons only. idk about the ai/smart npc lmao they sound a little wierd

id much rather a more open environment, because it allows you to meet alot more people, you might run into a bad person sometimes, but your usually with friends in the open environment that can stick up for you, or just ignore them. I'm perfectly fine with moderators, i just ask that you pick them wisely, i have had moderators swear, ban, and yell at me for no apparent reason, but if you choose the right ones, everything would run a lot more smoothly. I'm sure moderators get a lot of stress because of people asking them to help them all the time, but it doesn't mean they can treat the players badly.

Would everyone stop saying vSide closed -.- It didn't. its staying. Get used to it. New company new servers thats the only reasons its down -.- Its not dead people.
